The Ontario Hyundai Scholarship Program is looking to support students who demonstrate the following:

SHOW ACADEMIC TALENT

Students shall submit a transcript of their marks for Grades 10, 11 and 12 (to date).

SHOW PROMISE OF LEADERSHIP

In order to demonstrate strong service to the community and/or athletic or artistic talent students shall be asked to submit a summary of activities and achievements and letters of references verifying these.

APPLICANT ESSAY

Applicants will also be asked to submit a one page essay outlining their career goals and aspirations and tell us why it is important for you to be a recipient of an Ontario Hyundai Scholarship.

SHOW FINANCIAL NEED

The Review Committee will ONLY consider those students that qualify for The Ontario Student Assistance Program or can otherwise demonstrate financial need.

JUDGING STANDARDS

An independent panel of judges will assess all applications. The criteria for the judging of applicants are as follows:

  • 20% High School Transcripts (grade 10 onwards)

  • 20% Financial Need
  • 20% Extracurricular, volunteer activities and community involvement
  • 20% Essay and interview
  • 20% Athletic and/or artistic involvement and accomplishments
